The Project
Human Building Bridges is a youth-led project that campaigns for the basic human and health rights of young people through an awareness campaign that advocates for the importance of vaccine equity as a human right. Through the use of social media platforms, podcasts, radio broadcasting and video production, this project has managed to reach 5 000 young people and has been instrumental in communicating public interest topics such as, democracy, human rights, women empowerment, peacebuilding and conflict prevention, by “building bridges” between young people to hold discussions that effect their futures. Through online discussions pertaining to importance of COVID-10 protection and prevention, vaccine uptake among young people has increased in their local communities as a result.
