Youth-led Solutions Project Showcase

To celebrate and recognise the achievements of youth-led solutions from National Projects, Local Solutions and the Accelerator programme during of the first to two years of the Global Youth Mobilization (GYM), this virtual side event will showcase youth leadership and projects from young people working to ‘build back better’ from the negative effects of the pandemic, in various thematic areas in their communities.
The showcase session, screened simultaneously, will cover the following thematic areas:

Covid-19 Prevention, Vaccines and Combating Misinformation

This session will profile young people leading solutions to control the spread of COVID-19 and combat misinformation. It will include video presentations from young people sharing the key outcomes and lessons learned from their projects.

Mental and Physical Health

This session will profile young people leading solutions on addressing stigma, discrimination, lack of services and creating safe spaces to promote the physical and mental health of young people during the pandemic. The session will include video presentations from young people sharing the key outcomes and lessons learned from their projects.

Education , Disruption and Employability

This session will profile young people leading solutions in finding non-formal education methods during the pandemic. The session will include video presentations from young people sharing the key outcomes and lessons learned from their projects.

Gender Inequality and Combating Domestic and Gender-based Violence

This session will profile young people leading solutions focused promoting gender equity and ending gender-based violence in their communities. It will include video presentations from young people sharing the key outcomes and lessons learned from their projects.

We would like to hear your voices and thoughts on the future of youth-led advocacy to address global issues. Submit your written or video questions, please submit videos that are under 1 minute, for an opportunity to have your questions featured and answered by global leaders during our upcoming virtual events!
